Activity closed to the public. The result of the process will be shared at MIRADA in the presentations of the show “Erupção – O levante ainda não terminou” on Sept. 14 and 15, 06:00 pm.
For five days, Portuguese students articulated by the MEXE Festival participate in the daily creation of the collective occupation around body practices, dramaturgy, art direction, and music. The idea is that they are provoked to play together with the daily actions of a Brazilian theater company, bringing other perspectives and experiences. A residência reaffirms the bond between the groups that met at the Portuguese event in 2019. The reunion takes place the week before the premiere of “Erupção – O Levante Não Terminafim” at MIRADA, the new show of the coletivA.
COLETIVA OCUPAÇÃO (BRA)
Created in 2017 by performers and artists of different ages and regions of São Paulo who met during the second movement of public school occupations. It develops a continuous practice of language investigation, its own dramaturgy, and the formation of poetics from the urgent uprisings of our time.
A non-profit association that organizes a festival in Portugal in the context of the national and international cultural scene as a space for the appreciation and dissemination of artistic projects that cross different languages and communities. It is based on the dialogue between creation, public space, and civic participation, promoting a holistic approach to culture and artistic construction.
