In contemporary times, it is undeniable that artistic practices have influenced social contexts and vice versa. Some limit-experiences can even interfere with sedimented structures of sectors of society. How do social contexts become artistic elements, and how do they overcome the primary sense of denunciation? How do we reinvent social practices and transmute them into art?
MARTHA KISS PERRONE (BRA)
director, actress, and playwright. She directed the shows “Rózà” (Shell SP Award for best lighting), “Revolta Lilith,” and “Quando Quebra Queima” (awarded for best direction by the British The Stage Debut Awards). In France, he accompanied the production of “Os Náufragos do Louca Esperança,” by the Théâtre du Soleil group. She was part of the Brazil-Germany scenic project “Haut aus Gold” (“Golden Skin”), at the Maxim Gorki Theater, under the direction of Tilmann Köhler, an initiative of the Goethe Institut.
ROGÉRIO TARIFA (BRA)
director, actor, playwright, set designer, and art director, graduated from the School of Dramatic Art, EAD, at USP. Member of Cia São Jorge de Variedades and collaborator in artistic centers such as Teatro União e Olho Vivo, Cia. do Tijolo, Grupo Teatro do Osso and Cia Mungunzá de Teatro – with this he directed “anonymATO,” in 2022, a street musical-show-act.
TIAGO CADETE (POR)
a doctoral student in visual arts at the School of Fine Arts at UFRJ, where he holds a master’s degree from the same institution. He holds a postgraduate degree from the Laban/Bartenieff System and a degree in theater from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema in Portugal. Recent works include “Cicerone” and “Atlântico,” both from 2020, “Brasa” (2021) – split into a documentary co-directed by Afonso Sousa – and “Cortejo” (2022), with Solange Freitas.
